So why did Hopper leave the waffles & leftovers in that box?
Where did he go when he left the hospital & got in the car?
What kind of deal did he make with Matthew Modine?
People on the web are speculating that it's 11 he's leaving food for? But I can't even begin to understand how.

People on the web are speculating that it's 11 he's leaving food for? But I can't even begin to understand how.
I think it's their way of letting us know that Eleven is alive and only Hopper knows it...that's why he's leaving food in secret. I feel like Eleven took the Demogorgon back to the Upside Down place and was able to escape and did not want anyone else to know. Feel like we will find out more about this and how Hopper discovers her in the next season.
We still have to find out what kind of deal Hopper made with Brenner and his people - I think that will be a big thing in season 2. Perhaps he made a deal he wouldn't let the mom know that her daughter was alive or made any waves about the facility and their testing?
I seriously was blown away by the entire series....from the kids acting to the story to how much of a love letter it is to 1980s movies. I'm almost scared of season 2 because I can't imagine the show being as awesome as it was the first season!

I have been hearing a lot about this show but haven't watched it yet. Is it scary or just weird? I'm not into horror because I'm a big baby but weird I will watch.

Freaking amazing, like fell in love! I concur that the kids acting was really over the top. I'm actually bummed that season 1 was only 8 episodes and am leary as to whether or not they can match it with season 2.

Imagine if the Goonies, ET, Stand By Me, John Carpenter's The Thing, and Alien all had a baby -- that would be this show.
It has some stuff that might bug you out - but it's not horror scary, just kind of like a thriller with some alien/supernatural type aspects.
Very much worth the watch - and at 8 episodes it is easy to binge.

El must be alive. He drove all the way out to put the waffles in the box. I just can't think of another explanation.
I absolutely adore Dustin. What a fun character!
Will coughing up that slug at the end really left things open for season 2.

Tried it tonight and fell asleep half way through Episode 1.
But I tend to fall asleep when watching TV at night. I had to rewatch tbe OITNB episode I watched last night because I passed out on that too.
I think I am just really tired!

We binged the night it night it released. We enjoyed it, although I wonder where a second season will go. It had a cool, fun 80's vibe and as an 80's kid myself, I liked that aspect of it!

DH and I are 3 episodes in. We wanted to watch the 4th but realized it's almost midnight and our kids like to wake up at the crack of the dawn, so we have to wait until tomorrow night!!! Ugh!!!

Loved loved LOVED Stranger Things. My hubby and I were like "oh lets watch one episode and see what we think" bc we kept hearing it was good... Fast forward and it's 2am and we're 5 episodes in and forcing ourselves to sleep! Finished it as soon as we woke up. SUCH a good series!

Spoilers....
Finally finished the last two episodes, so it seems that eleven is alive since the police officer (forgot his name) left waffles in the box for her, I was disappointed to see that Nancy was still with Steve in the end and not Jonathan. Also I guess the demo gorgon returns since Will coughed up a creature into the sink?
Does anyone know if this show got officially renewed for season two?
I loved everything about this show including how even the credits make it seem straight from the 80s

Just watched the whole series this weekend! Loved it! The only questions I was left with was why Hopper got into the car after leaving the hospital and why was his daughter's stuffed animal in the underworld. Now I'm mad I have to wait for next season lol

I LOVE this show. The characterizations, the unpredictable tropes (except maybe poor Barb), the acting and writing were practically perfection. It made me miss working in film and even film school. Hell, it made me miss the 80s! lol.
I cannot wait for season 2. I want to know if Hopper is hiding El and what deal he made with Brenners group. Plus Will and what the affects on him are being in the upside down for a week. There is no way he comes out unscathed - as obvious by the ending. I am probably going to do a research of the series again once the Olympics are over.

I'm almost positive the stuffed toy wasn't the same as hers. I THINK it just reminded him of her because it was similar.
