Can't. Stop. Watching.

It's very addictive and honestly, A LOT better than I really expected. There is interesting character development and the plot is very intriguing. We're up to episode 6!

Are your kids watching with you though?

Finished last night!

Really well done show overall. I liked the twist and thought it was intriguing from episode 1 right until the end. I can see why it's number one on Netflix right now.

My 14 year old is currently home in bed sick and binge watching it. I'm okay with him watching it. He has a pretty good grip on reality.

Did you watch the entire series?

I think it does go by individual to individual though and some adults might not be able to watch it more than a teen could.

My 13 yr old watched it, no way I'd let my 8 yr old watch it though.

Ugh me too, thanks! Strep throat AND Enterovirus (blisters in the throat, big kid version of Coxsackie) at the SAME time. He's pretty miserable.

Ahhh ok. You would know most though if he could handle it. They recommend 18 and I have seen a few scenes (heard more than I watched) and many were pretty gory.

Re: Squid Game--Anyone watching

Only saw the first episode so far. It reminds me of a movie I saw from a few years back- "Would you Rather"
A bunch of down on their luck people get invited to a dinner party by some eccentric million who offers them a fortune if they play a sick game with him and whoever is left standing at the end gets the money.

I don’t remember if I read it here or somewhere else but someone recommended Alice In Borderline (it’s similar to this show) and it was pretty good too.

Re: Squid Game--Anyone watching

Just finished watching the first season. Meh.... not impressed. After the first killing scene, the rest of the killings were predictable. Characters weren't very deep. General plot has been overdone. Gore was not very convincing. Acting was over the top (as is expected with Korean films and actors).

You're going to have a hard time with episode 6 then. It's a good episode but it's emotional.

Re: Squid Game--Anyone watching

Binged it today. I would say it was a cool story to watch but nothing special. Not too gory and characters without much depth. However, I would never let my kids watch this. It’s the repetitive execution style murders that’s way too highly reminiscent to mass shootings in this country. I don’t want my kids to ever become numb to this or “able to watch it”. Too much plasticity in their young brains to add desensitization to this repetitive imagery.
