Spinoff...What was hands down the best live concert you ever saw?
Yes, you can ONLY pick one.
The very first Lollapalooza gets my vote! The Lollapaloozas after that were not as good IMO.

Best concert I ever saw. So hard to pick! I'd have to say.................as much as I hate them....Marilyn Manson. WAY BEFORE they were popular. Back when they were just proteges of Trent Reznor. I saw them at the old Roxbury in Huntington. There was like 200 people there, and I thought they were amazing.

Very tough question.
I'd have to say the concert we just went to a few weeks ago. Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Joe Ely & Guy Clark. They sat on the Westbury Music Stage, played songs & talked about their music.
It was just like on Unplugged.
And I'm hitting Post Reply before I add the Kinks at Jones Beach

I would have to say The Who with The Clash just b/c you could never really see them again. Shea Stadium was literally ROCKING!

Lilith Fair. Natalie Merchant was AWESOME!!! Personally, anything at Jones Beach during sunset is going to be memorable! Phil Lesh was in the pouring rain, but still incredible there!

The Jimmy Buffet concert at MSG after 9-11. The energy in the audience was incredible.

I know what you mean. The U2 concert right after 9/11 comes in as a very close second for me. The energy in the garden was amazing.

Dave Matthews Band of course.....
I saw Red Hot Chili Peppers at Jones Beach and Queens of the Stone Age opened up for them - it was awesome!

I was just going to write about U2 right after 9/11... it was unbelievable to be there.
Also, I have to say being 6th row, for my favorite band Duran Duran was pretty cool too!

This is an extremely tough question...But, if I can only name one concert it would be the Face To Face Tour with Billy Joel and Elton John at Giant's Stadium...I don't even remember what year it was(but I do remember it was right after the Joey/Amy thing cuz he showed up at the show and sat three rows in front of us )
