Spinoff to tipping Postal worker

I always give cash, but my original guy got hurt and now we have 2 either a girl or guy- should I leave them the 20? I dont know what to do? they have made some mistakes ( neighbors mail) but we get a lot of packages delivered but I dont know who is doing it since we are not home when the mail comes. Should I just leave it and who ever comes gets it?

I would leave the $20.

If he got hurt recently and is on disability (with the intention of coming back)... its very possibile they will split the tips with him anyways.

Oh should I leave more than b/c its either the girl or guy that comes and then they have to split it 3 ways with our original carrier?

The carriers who fill in with the regular carriers (even the ones who fill in for them on the 1 day off per week) usually get tipped out from the regular carrier. I would just tip what you normally would to the one you are seeing most often and let them work it out.

I wouldn't leave more. $20 is fair. (unless they really went above and beyond... then leave $30)

I agree, usually the ptf...would give the original carrier their tip, and the original carrier tips out to his covering people...
