Spinoff to the worst thing anyone could say...
So by reading the responses there I am guessing that all these things are issues that you might have some conflict with in yourselves...
So my question is this....How self aware are you of your foibles? of the things that others might not like about you?
For instance, yes, I am loud, people are constantly asking me to keep my voice down, but I tell them...I am exhuberant. Its hard to be exhuberant quietly! Also, probably with the fact that I can not walk through a room without calling attention to myself (example...today I sang a song to the whole office about the fact that I have some new red boots) might strike some people as annoying. I am aware that some people might not like this about me but guess what...RACHEL DON'T CARE!!!
Anyway, I am needed now to find "a big powerful stapler" so discuss this amongst yourselved.

its fine to be exhuberant but you are in the work place....I dont think singing a song about red boots is appropriate.

Me too! 
I am trying to be self aware and if I do things that I know annoy people, I try not to do it.
For instance, I am aware that I talk fast and talk a lot. I have to conscioulsy slow down what I am saying and if I feel like I have been doing a lot of talking I will ask whoever if they want me to shut up.

Um, don't judge until you hear the song and see the red boots.
I happen to be very nice, very entertaining, very fun, very lovely, very funny and in general, the best person in the world ever, not to mention one who can sing a song about having new red boots (and the chorus went they cost £44.99 marked down from £65 pounds, well £64.99) and then once I sang it. I got back to work. Yes I did.

me three. Plus folks, remember- she is in Britian. I'm impressed that she has that British sense of comedy for an American- so I'm sure you fit right in. THis is the office with the games every Friday- right?

Sadly, Friday Fun Day has gone the way of the dinosaurs...

Very self aware - my problem isn't in knowing what my foibles are, but in changing them.
Reason why I would be so hurt if someone called me stupid is that I grew up with a severe learning disability and my fourth grade teacher told me exactly that - it's a raw, touchy subject for me.
Bad mom comment would hit home because I feel like my mother had no maternal instincts - I know what it's like to grow up in that environment and would never forgive myself if I brought Alex up in the same kind of environment.
Fear of being called a disappointment? Stems from years of high expectations from my parents, which isn't a bad thing overall.

Did the song go over well in your office? If so, can I send you my Opera-singing, trucker-mouth, Customer service rep ( yet, the one responsible for TALKING to CUSTOMERS.  )
To answer the original quesition I sometimes think I should work on my flaws, , but I have short attention span, so I forget & move on to something else. Oops!
