Spinoff to Kitchen Remodel
Where did you buy your cabinets from? We might be remodeling our kitchen too. It looks nicer in the pictures then it really is.  We didn't notice all these things before we bought the house, because they had too much stuff in the cabinets. And the countertops aren't nice either. 
We are looking to spend around $20k total. TIA!

we got ours at consumers. They have a good rep though we had nothing but issues with them once we gave in a deposit. I would never send anyone there based on our experience.

we are using IKEA cabinets. we're going to start putting them up this weekend, so I'll be posting pictures!

We went there to get a quote and they were quite expensive! We ended up going to Lakeville in Lindenhurst. We just put our order in so we'll see how it goes. But I've been pleased with the service and the displays so far.

Thanks! Where is Lakeville in Lindenhurst? Our house is in Lindenhurst. That would make things so much easier. Do they have a website I could look at?

Lakeville is right near the train tracks but before Lindy train station. Our salesperson was Darren Press. He was great and he really went above and beoynd for us. Here's the website Lakeville
We also got a quote from HD for Thomasville cabinets and they were slightly less expensive but we were more comfortable with the cabinets at Lakeville.
Oh, and don't forget to negotiate!

HomeDepot, we spent 12,000 w/ installation. W/ granite, our kitchen came to 18,000.

We used Homedepot and the cabinets were in in two weeks, we installed them ourselves and saved a ton of money.
They had a huge selection and the sales people were great.
