Spinoff to Canines coming in: blisters on the hands? (coxsackie? with questions)
She has these blisters on her hands. One on her thumb and one on the side of her knuckle on the other hand.
her palm has some little bumps too.
Ok #1 - fracking great.. this is the one part of her body that's impossible to keep OUT of her mouth
#2 - Since her canines are coming in, I am wondering if its maybe her teeth that's doing it.
She stuffs her hands into her mouth to feel around or soothe herself. I am trying to take away paci.
But now her hands hurt. She waves them around and cries. I took a look and they are bad blisters. Not red but rather big for her little fingers. We couldnt figure out what in the heck caused them until she stuffed her hand in her mouth.
They look like burn blisters.
My poor baby!

She just can't catch a break!!
Has anyone else's kiddo done this? Do you have any thoughts to it being something else?

I google imaged that word and yeah it does look like those.

It may be from sucking on her hands but could also be hand, foot and mouth disease (coxsackie)

It just runs its course. Plenty of fluids. Even if you have to give ice pops. Cold may be easier for her to get down than hot or warm.

We were just at the peds on Friday and she said coxsackie is going around, she had already seen a bunch of kids that week with it.
