Spinoff: Poll... Do you wear shoes in YOUR house?
Our shoes come off as SOON as we walk in the front door, the kids and my DH and I. The kids know the rule already.. no shoes in the house.

nope, our slippers are right by the door so when we take our shoes off, the slippers come on! much more comfy!

No. They come off and slippers go on. But we seem to be the only ones who do that.
Yhe other day, DH had to use the b/r at the grocery store. He meets back up with me and tells me that his shoes will never see the inside of the apartment ever again

My shoes are off once Im inside. If I could get away without wearing them outside I would too. I hate wearing shoes.

nope... we take them off- its not so much a "rule" i have, but more just that we don't like wearing shoes, so as soon as they can come off, they do... i totally would go without shoes everywhere if i could! LOL

I wear shoes in our apartment, but usually, i'm more comfy without them, so i end up taking them off relatively soon after I get home. It's not a rule of ours though.

i always take them off. i keep my slippers at the door so when i come in they go on

My in laws and basically everyone i know upstate does this. It is funny because growing up in LI no one ever did this that I know and it was actually uncomfortable for me and people I know to be asked to take your shoes off. I mean what if your feet stink or you have mismatched socks. i could see having your family do it but i think if you ask guests to do it that is over the line.

On the weekends, my sneakers are on since I'm mostly in and out ... during the week, I get out of my work clothes the second I walk through the door and change into comfy clothes and slippers or fUggs.
