Spider bite ??
Seriously ?? Dd is 14 months on the 20th was a premi never has been sick or even a cold ...knock on wood. Yesterday i saw what i thought was a mosquito bite on the back of her calf ...lat that night after her bath i noticed it got bigger ,red and little tiny raised looking blisters kind of hard to explain...dh came home called the night ped said to just watch and take to dr in am. Turns out she has a spider bite they gave me a cream n benadryl? Really that's it...i made the big mistake and looked up pics of spider bites and now im freaking out....i keep peeking at it ( while trying not to wake her) making sure it isn't getting infected and nasty lookin.
Any one else ever had their child get a spider bite ? She sleeps with us for the most part so i don't know where ahe got it from neither me nor my dh ever had one before :(

Spider bite ??
Just keep an eye on it. She could have gotten it anywhere. You can take a pen and draw around it marking off how big it is at this moment. Then you will know for sure if it changes shape or gets bigger (which you don't want obviously)
Good luck and I hope she is better soon!!

Spider bite ??
spiders spiders spiders... they are everywhere. We've had some hot days lately (haha ironically it has been cooler this summer) and then it rained and all the spiders, big and small, came out to play.
Spider bites are a way of life here. They swell, they itch and they can be painful. They are generally just like mosquito bites that they need antihistamine to counter act. Scratching them is the worst and for us its the biggest concern for infection.
Just keep watching it, if it gets more painful or if she gets feverish then I'd probably worry other wise, i'd follow the pedi's suggestion and trust him.
Oh and stop GOOGLING!
