Some questions for pumping moms (who do it for freezer supply, not bc of work)

I want to start pumping again to build a freezer supply. I stopped bc DS eats so often (every 2 hrs) and when i would pump, id maybe get 1-1.5oz combined.

Questions:

1) what time of day do you pump?
2) how often does your DC breastfed?
3) how many oz do you get when you pump?
4) any advice for me?

Questions:

1) what time of day do you pump? I usually pump in the AM, either before she wakes up or after she eats for the first time (I'm engorged in the morning after she hasn't fed for 9+ hours). Or, I will pump right before I go to bed (which is usually 2 hours or more since she last eats)
2) how often does your DC breastfed? Usually every three hours but it can be more or less.
3) how many oz do you get when you pump? Again depends, usually at least 4 oz especially in the AM
4) any advice for me? I haven't pumped much lately, but if you're worried about supply I'd go the oatmeal and lots of fluid route. I know that worked for me.

Good luck!

I always did it at night, because I was giving formula before bedtime, so I was skipping a feeding.

I would get between 4-6 oz in a pumping session.

Advice: squeeze your boob until you get every last drop out!

1. I pump about an hour or two after he goes to sleep at night.
2. During the day he eats about every 2 - 3 hours and about every 3 - 4 at night.
3. I usually get around 5 oz.

I didn't do it very consistently, but if I felt engorged in the morning, I would do it after he ate - usually the opposite breast that he just fed from.
