Just b/c it's legal in NY doesn't mean we'll see a HUGE influx of gay/lexbian couples.
I'm a wedding planner and we've had quite a few gay weddings in the past (over 5 years, at least 6) - the couples have gone to CT or other states where it's legal and then back to NYC for the reception.
There are a lot of websites out there (like liweddings.com) that gay couples have been using.

and the list goes on.
I think it would be nice to see a growth on liweddings of course, but I won't be too surprised if it's not a massive rush.

I think the gay weddings were happening regardless. Id be curious to see though if there were enough gay weddings, if Ron and Company would separate the category or lump the gay weddings in with everyone else. Now that would be a pot to stir huh? And would there be a category separate for gay women and gay men? Personally, Id like to see everyone suffer in wedding planning all together. Total equality!!!!
