So DS is 3 years and 3 months old and now I get a letter in the mail
a collection notice from an attorney's office from Winthrop for his stay when he was born!!
Wasn't my insurance company suppose to cover this at the time?
I don't even know where to start to dispute these charges.

someone at the hospital or insurance company didn't do their job!

Call the collection agency first
Get the date of servicee, exactly who the provider was ( could be an out of network dr, a lab inside hospital etc etc) .
Then Call the insurance company with the above info and tell them this is the FIRST bill you have gotten and see what they can do for you.
FM me if you have problems after this, I can tell you what to say to the insurance to get them to pay probably.
