So ANGRY in need of a GOOD OB/GYN with good bedside manner!
SO ANGRY.... IN NEED of a good OB/GYN!
I am going to need a new ob/Gyn, the one I went to RUINED my vacation.... he told me to call him ASAP while I was away, he left a message on my phone, and I had checked it from where we were. He told me I needed to call him ASAP. I was FREAKING out, he refused to get on the phone and then finally got on after 20 minutes and 2 calls later. It turns out I had a microscopic amount of blood in my urine. I had gone for a UTI originally because my reg doctor was away. I should see a uriologist.Mind you this doctor did not ask me if I was MIDCYCLE- hello an ob/gyn smudges me off and does not ask this- and I was midcycle and spotting from it- Then the docotor was VERY abrupt with me and threw me off the phone. AF showed up a few days later and I put it together that I was ovulating when I took the test. So, Now I am paranoid he is going to call again- and tell me something else- when I asked about my pap, he was like- no, it has not come back yet... hello 3 weeks later, and no news is good news?! Then get this one ladies- I told him at the exam I was nervous I have never seen a male ob/gyn before and he said-
"Like the pizza box- you've tried the rest, now try the best!".
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS I never got to relax on this well needed vacation the right way!

I see Dr. Brandon in RVC. He is the nicest man in the world. Always smiling and always takes so much time for you. And if you have a problem he either get's on the phone with you right away or calls you back very quick. His staff is great too.

I see Dr. Hanauer in Garden City. She is amazing. She never rushes and really takes her time with you. If you have any questions she never rushes you. I hate to say it but she makes going to the GYN a pleasant experience. She always talks to you to calm your nerves.

When I lived on the South Shore, I saw Dr. Betsy Lantner in Hewlett. I loved her but I don't live there anymore. She is part of a large practice.

Dr. Levine in Mineola. He's at Long Island Women Health Care Group on Mineola Blvd. and is associated with Winthrop hospital. I think he's the best.

I use Dr Plancher in Garden City. He delivered my 3 kids and definitely has wonderful bedside manner. He is awesome, everyone I know who uses him loves him. 2 most important doctors to me are the OBGYN & the pediatrician. I have to love them or I refuse to use them. Let me know if you want his #.

my first ob gyn was in rvc behind mercy. he made the meanest comments to me every time i went to see him. my best friend went to him also and said they were jokes. it was horrible what he said to me. i changed to a women ob gyn in different practice and she was the nicest, but do to changes in insurance i switched back to a male. what a difference my new male ob gyn is. he is on mineola blvd with winthrop. so much better and i can be much open with me and he is understanding.

Dr. Wagner in East Northport. They also have an office in Huntington. He's great, professional, and very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend him.

Wow she sounds great. I am thinking about switching to her. Right now I go to Dr. Braverman in Garden City but I would like to change.

What an a-hole!! Definitely switch.
I cant recommend anyone to you b/c I am looking to switch myself. But right now she is convenient and close by, so Ill deal w/ it for now........until TTC time starts to come then I must switch.
