Re: sinus infection

what about claritin? those tea type cold medicines are supposed to be good too.

I am not sure where you are but there's a walk in medical center on 34th b/w park & madison. There will probably be a bit of a wait, but it's better then friday.

feel better. Chat Icon

Re: sinus infection

I just had one last week...in addition to the anti I was prescribed the Dr told me to take ADVIL or MOTRIN Cold & Sinus. In his opinion, those are the best. I took the Advil one and it worked well - didn't feel medicine head or like I licked a bowl of salt (OTC meds make me feel that way).

In the meantime drink lots - water, tea, juice.

Feel better.......

I wouldn't go that far - I've taken both and Allegra-D works much better for *me* than Claritin-D ever did.

Re: sinus infection

I am having the same problem. I have been taking sudafed and Benedryl D.
Both make you VERY drowsey. I would not suggest it if you have to drive within 4 hrs of taking it. You'll get very sluggish and maybe even the shakes. It does clear up the sinus though. Chat Icon
I've been dealing with this crap for over a week. I hate being at work like this Chat Icon

Re: sinus infection

I would say sudafed .. however if it is an infection.. none of the above is really going to work an rx for Antibiotics is really needed.

Re: sinus infection

Tylenol makes really good products, severe head congestion would be good

My doctor is in queens (near don and boosh) and he'd def see you today. FM if you want info.

They're definitely not the same.

They'e both antistamines, but they're different.

If it's not allergies, you don't need an antihistamine, so AI wouldn't go for a claritin, allegra, or benedryl. I would take a cold and sinus med

Re: sinus infection

Claratin totally works... so does Advil Cold & Sinus or Tylenol Cold & Sinus. Excedrin Sinus works too. So does this nasal spray call Ayr (pronounced air). All work wonders! Good luck!
