School cancelled today due to power outages!
So, no school for my kids today, nor any children in our surrounding areas due to downed trees and power outages. We are on our 2nd snow day of the year and it isn't even November! No word yet as to whether their school Halloween festivities will be rescheduled. Oh, and we have NO CABLE so shoot me now.

Wow, I still can't believe that some areas got so much snow! And in October!!
Stay warm! My kids are off today because the Diocese has a conference today for the teachers. And of course, they are off tomorrow too for the Holy day...

I hope you get your power back soon. I'd be upset too.
This is the perfect chance to get your kids dressed up in costume & take pictures of them playing in the snow. This weather is such a fluke!

We are back in business!!! 2 hour delay but we'll take it. DH still had to stay home to put DD on the bus at 10:20 but its a start.

same thing for us...school only opened on Friday, we were out all week and only regained power Thursday late afternoon...it was crazy!
I think the plan is for the school to take the days out of February break, so that if they need to take more they take it out of Spring break as well...
