Sarah Jessica Parker - 'Vogue' Cover Girl May 2010
Sarah Jessica Parker is true blue in Calvin Klein Collection on the May 2010 cover of Vogue. Check out what the 45-year-old Sex and the City star shared:
On having children with a surrogate mother: “Meeting your children rather than giving birth to them, it’s as if, um, it’s—suspended animation. The gestational experience is gone. It’s as if everything else disappears for a moment, and the world goes silent and—I can’t explain it except to say that nothing else existed. I don’t remember anything but the blanket on the bed that they were lying on and my husband’s face and their faces and my son’s. It’s literally as if sound is sucked from the room. Time stands still. It’s so different, and equally extraordinary.”
On twins Tabitha Hodge (“or Babe”) and Marion Loretta Elwell (“or Kitty”): “Aren’t those great names? (grins) Babe Broderick! Kitty Broderick! It’s like it’s 1940. I wish it were 1940.”
On the importance of keeping perspective: “We painted our patio furniture ourselves…. I make my children’s food myself. We put together their high chairs ourselves; we do a lot ourselves! We do our own grocery shopping, we go to the market ourselves, you know? I do my laundry.”
The upcoming Sex and the City sequel: “We four women, despite I guess what a lot of people hope, have never been better. This movie—and maybe it’s because we actually lived together—it was the best! We were together all day long, at night, in the restaurants, in our hotels. It was wonderful.”

Yes photoshop is always involved in magazine covers and spreads - but there is also makeup and good lighting.
When she is photographed she is out in the street picking her kid up from school. Much different situations. I think she is beautiful because she is confident in herself and doesn't fit the mold.

It's one thing for her to not fit the mold and be confident - that's great, I agree.
But it's not just this cover - all covers are OVERLY photoshopped. Look how smooth her skin looks in the first picture - what's wrong with them leaving some lines on her face so that she looks more her age? Women love her - why can't they let SJP LOOK more like herself for this spread? KWIM?

Oh yeah, I totally agree with you. Photoshopping in general has gotten way out of control. People don't look real anymore.

Yes I know and understand that there is also "makeup and lighting" and that's great that she is confident in herself (although I can't agree with the beautiful part, but that's JMO  )
I have no problem with that, all I'm saying is that there is photoshopping a photo and then there is photoshopping a photo ... KWIM? (and this goes for all the other celebrities)
