salary negotiation after a job offer ?
Has anyone done this? How did it go? and what are the risks, meaning- if you counter and they decline , does this mean it's not yours any more?
I just spoke to a friend of mine who is in the situation and can't decide what to do , so I was just curious. I never even knew you could negotiate the salary once they offer you a job and give you the number

They will likely never have more power to negotiate salary than the time between offer and acceptance. If they decline the higher salary, then the original offer usually still stands.
