Restless Leg Syndrome

If you had this before getting pregnant, do you think it got worse during? I do because I have not been nearly as active as I was before getting pregnant. So when I lay down, my legs just want to run (actually it's more just my right calf that feel tingly at night). It's so annoying. I used to eat banana's before getting pregnant for the potassium and it literally would help, but can't eat them now do to the fun and joy of constipation (TMI...I know.) I just hit my second trimester, so I am going to try and exercise a few times a week with prenatal DVD's that I got to help burn the energy. But are there any tricks to relieve the tingling?

I don't have any tricks, but I had this sooo bad during pregnancy. It seems to be better now, although it does crop up and then.

Re: Restless Leg Syndrome

I actually just asked the doctor about this last week. He said to try taking a tums 3x a day with every meal and eat 2 bananas a day. I have been doing this and it has helped a lot so far.

ETA: ok i just read that you cant eat bananas, sorry

I have this bad but it sems to come and go. I have found the more exercise I get during the day ,the better it is at night. Also, I started not eating too clsoe to bed time...not realyl sure if that helped much but it seems to be better. I feel your pain, that coupled with the insomnia and I have not slept through one night for at leasttwo months and I am only 24 weeks!
