K, I'm still in shock over the news & totally thrilled for you!
We loved Bella Napoli in Farmingdale on 109...the service & food were excellent; the room was spacious & the price was reasonable.
We also had our rehearsal/my bridal shower at Wantagh Inn & they were very good as well.

Mine was at the Irish Coffee Pub in Islip - it was beautiful!
Congrats 06er...so happy for you! 
Eta: oops, didn't realize you were looking for a specific area - it's not TOO far though - worth the drive

Congratulations!!
I had mine at Hudson's Mill on Merrick Road on the Massapequa/Amityville border. The place is gorgeous- and you have the entire place to yourself. The price is great- and the food is amazing too! You cannot go wrong!

My SIL just had twins too. Hers was at Matteo's in Bellmore. So good and one of my fave places in general.
I will cross mine off the list because they screwed up a lot of things such as losing the reservation and not ordering the cake! (La Famiglia Plainview), but I have been to several at the Irish Coffee Pub as well and that place is great.
I also was at several at Piccolo in Bellmore and they do a good job.
Lastly Sergio's in Massapequa is good too. The place is kind of outdated-looking but the food is great and from what I understand, they are quite reasonable price-wise.

Just wanted to add that while they haven't been baby showers, I've been to rehearsal dinners and bridal showers at The Bull Dog in Amityville (DH and I also go here regularly for dinner and they have a huge private room upstairs), The Wantagh Inn and that Asian fusion place right by the train in Wantagh (the name is escaping me though). All pretty good!

I agree with Cindy about Bella Napoli in Farmingdale. Also The Wantagh Inn in Wantagh (right by the RR station is great).

Guy Anthonys in Merrick or Bellmore (forget) will give you the whole place if you have enough people.
In Wantagh - Wantagh Inn or Hemingways
Merrick - The old Nick D'Angelo's - forget the name

Ginis Tuscany in N Bellmore. They have a brand new separate room and the prices, food and service are great! Ask for Sal and tell him Michelle sent u from Massapequa!

I went to a baby shower recently at Ciao Baby in Massapequa and the food was excellent. It was not, however, a private room.

I had my baby shower at Guy Anthony's (they are our fav caterer)..
I also want to throw out Vittorio's in Amityville- right by the Gazebo. They have GREAT food...

I had mine at Pomodorino's love that place..so many parties, food is good prices are great! We had the whole place to ourselves too!
Also having DD first B-day at Jackie Reilly's -Bethpage and have had DD christening at D!ck and Dora's in Seaford :)
rehearsal dinner at Sergio's in Massapequa..some of my fave local places
