Repost from Pregnancy: BTDT 2nd time moms with baby and toddler sharing a room - Come in!

We are expecting baby #2 in April and DS will be a little over 2.5 years old. With DS, we put him straight in his room in a bassinet and within about a week he was in his crib. I would love to so the same with this baby too but don't want to disturb DS with middle of the night baby wake-ups and feedings. So what did you do?? Did you put a bassinet, portable crib, playard in your room until they slept through the night? What did you use (actualy name of the product)? Thanks for any advice and suggestions!

DD is in a regular graco pack and play in our room. She's still not STTN but once she does we'll move her into the room with her big sister into a crib.
