Refrigerator/Water Line

We finally bought a new frigde with an ice maker and water!!

Now who do we get to run the water line? A plumber? We have the laundry room directly below with a suspended ceiling so I don't think it should be too difficult of an install.

I wld think a plumber. We had water line when moved here so they deliver guys just hooked it up.

we had our contractor who was painting and do other little jobs run it. apparently its pretty easy. it was run through our kitchen cabinets (its a think little tube). A plumber would probably rob you to do that!

If you're somewhat handy its not hard to do it yourself. You can normally buy a kit at home depot or whereever.

its a small copper line that has a connector that you connect to your fridge. The other end you basically clamp onto your cold water supply, screw it down and it creates a connection.

some people do it in the basement on a water line down there and drill a hole in teh floor. Some people drill a hole through the cabinets and run it over to the sink.
