Refinancing- closing costs/fees, advice, comparisons

So we're going to refinance our home.

1 mortgage company said that we'd have to pay $700 for an appraisal.

Now he also said the closing costs would be $6700- $1k to the mortgage company and $5700 to the bank.

Just curious how this compares to what others have found.

I plan on shopping around, but just thought i'd see what you all had to say.
Help please.

Go with Quicken. The fee is $500.
