Refinancing - our rate is IN!!!
OMG I am so happy right now!!!! We just heard back from our broker and we will be able to refinance our house at 5.875%!!!!!!!  YIPPEE!!! Our interest rate was so high when we first bought our house, and with this new rate now we'll be saving almost $300 a month on our mortgage payments - almost 3K A YEAR!!!   So awesome, just wanted to share the happy news! Now we can really start putting some dents into that pesky credit card debt from the wedding! YAY!

That's great, we refied in 2002 and saved over $200 a month and dropped from a 30-year to a 20-year mortgage. It's so worth it!

WOW..that's a great rate!!!!!! I hope we can refi. too, but i guess we have to wait till we gain some equity in the house, or else it doesn't pay to ref..with the closing costs and all..anyway, congrats to you and your dh!!!

thanks everyone! This is perfect timing too - now I don't have to keep looking for a new job that pays more. We're reorganizing our department next month, so I'm glad I can stay bc there might be a raise coming my way too
