Really Stiff Neck - any safe remedies?
I came home from work yesterday with a very bad stiff neck and I don't know what to do to make it go away!
I already sleep with a special pillow since I'm prone to these.
I thought it might get better overnight but it's just as bad if not worse this morning.
My usual remedies include hot showers, hot water bottle, bengay and icy hot patches.
Bengay and icy hot are off limits, right?
Any suggestions??????

Don't know if you have access to Bio-freeze. That is what I asked my Doctor about and they said fine.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I spent a lot of time laying down today with the heating pad and also took a couple of hot showers.
Its feeling a little less stiff ... if its still bad tomorrow I'll send DH on a hunt for biofreeze or the heat pads.

Neither of us see a chiro. I remember my PT place having it but I'm pretty sure they closed.

Karen - that would be great! Knowing me and how this pregnancy has been going, its inevitable that I'll need one sooner or later!

Guerriere Chiropractic Office: Dr Michael Guerriere 3209 Milburn Avenue, Baldwin, NY Phone: (516) 623-5900
He's great!!! My family has been going to him for years.
He also has licensed massage therapists on staff who have experience with pre-natal massage.
When I was pregnant the first time, i had agonizing sciatica pain and it helped.
They also take some insurances. I used to get an adjustment (where they realign/adjust your neck and back) and an hour massage for a $30.00 co-pay
ETA: LOVE my sister's invites! i got a good look at them as i helped her stuff and mail all of them!
