That is so scary  I'm glad you guys are ok but I'm sure you feel violated  My first thought was OMG where was the baby?
You know, I grew up in Queens too and one time I was being harassed at the gas station by 2 men...now this is the gas station my family went to our whole lives...and there were plenty of bystanders (including men) who didn't say one word. I was kind of shocked that no one helped me but it's sad in this day and age that no one wants to get involved bc they are scared

I can't believe this....your poor mother....and you!  Thank God it wasn't worse and they didn't have a weapon or do worse damage. I really hope you give your neighbors a piece of your mind...they should be ashamed of themselves. Feel better!

Thanks everyone.
They were brought up on other charges as well..not having to do specifically with us. Disorderly conduct, lewd (sp?) behavior, disturbing the peace..
But we are sticking with not pressing the charges. Its too dangerous around here and I have a baby in the house to think of. This happened in front of my house, so I am so scared of people coming back for us. Hopefully it will all just end. Mom is doing well and everyone in the neighborhood is so surprised to see that we "fight so well." Well thank god we do..cause none of you idiots helped us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its just nerve racking now though..always looking behind us..I am scared to take the baby out for a walk...not the way to live..I seriously am considering moving out of state. Enough is enough already.

OMG Noreen I am so sorry this happened to you guys. What a bunch of nasty pieces of trash. I am so happy that you are all ok. I hope you guys are feeling better real soon. I can not believe this and the fact that it took so long for help to get there...and no one around helped is pretty sad. What the heck is the matter with people....you see someone in trouble, you try to help. If all 50 of those people standing around had atleast come towards those girls I am sure they would have backed away, but to just stand there. I love you and if you need anything let me know.
I would defninitely press charges and get a restraining order, they hurt you guys and they need to pay for it!!

I lost total faith in community when I was screaming in the street with my naked baby taking seizures and no one came out to help or even call 911. (not to highjack ) but after all was said and done it did really hurt that no one did anything.

That's really scary to think that happened right in front of your house. I'm glad everyone is OK. It's amazing how people won't help anyone these days. A few weeks ago by my office (a very busy street in Brooklyn) a cab made an illegal uturn and hit a woman on a bike and she went flying off. I was the only one who went over to her. Everyone else just stood on the curb gawking. People are unbelieveable sometimes.
