Teacher complaints.com
Have you seen this site?
I see what they are trying to do but this is terrible that anyone can just go on and write whatever they want.
What are your thoughts on this?

Re: Teacher complaints.com
With post you linked to, they better be pretty careful before they find themselves in a defamation suit.
But I'm not sure the rest is any worse than ratemyteachers.com or ratemyprofessors.com. I would take what was said with a grain of salt. Students ******** about their teachers is nothing new.

Re: Teacher complaints.com
I can't get on board with this. Someone's accusations could really defame someone's character and it's with no proof at all. THe schools may not buy into what's written but it will definitely be in the backs of people's heads, especially parents. For all we know, this is parent or someone the teacher had a bad relationship with and is making this up.

Re: Teacher complaints.com
This is dumb, and any administrator who takes these things seriously should be ashamed of him/herself. And if these people are so concerned about these teachers, why don't they call the administration or the police?

Re: Teacher complaints.com
I won't look at it.
I agree, it's people hiding behind the internet.
I've had several students/parents disgruntled because I would not change grades, would not pass them for the year, or wrote them up for cheating or a serious behavior violation that required disciplinary action at the highest level of administration... a supt. hearing.
They were 100% in the wrong but both the students and parents slandered me as a response.
If any student/parents has a legitimate and serious accusation against a teacher, in fact, if any of us have a serious and legitimate accusation against anyone there are proper channels to report it. Slandering professionals on the internet is not acceptable or legal.
Add this to the complete DISRESPECT and DISREGARD for teachers as professionals by all levels of society, the increasingly stressful, dangerous and downright DEADLY working condition and the teacher rating system that assigns us a quality rating without taking into account many, many socio-economic factors and dysfunction within the home AND these are the reasons why so many GREAT teachers are working on leaving the profession a.s.a.p.

Re: Teacher complaints.com
This is unbelievable! I know this woman personally and I have worked in her building and she is a lovely woman. She is kind, sweet, and an incredible teacher. I know people do horrid things on the internet but this is low. I hope people do not take this website seriously. This is garbage.

Re: Teacher complaints.com
Just read that.. and well WOW
I complain about AJ's school but generally keep it to MS. A or Teacher B. sheesh!
but lord have mercy if its true.
I have learned not every teacher SHOULD be a teacher. Not every person caring for children, care for children either. Its a mad mad world we live in.
I've received many recommendations for AJ's Kinder class. And I hope I get one of the two teachers recommended.
But to be fair there are WONDERFUL teachers out there. Some who've inspired my entire life!
Then there are others like the teacher who lied about hitting me then chased me down as I tried to tell the principal only to lie to my father and the principal. Thank GOD my father believed me. Seriously.. there's always both types.

Re: Teacher complaints.com
This seriously broke my heart.. And one of the main reasons I am having trouble sending my DS to prek bc he is behind in speech and wouldn't be able to tell me something like this ..
I think there is a difference between a parent/student just looking to do harm to a teachers profession bc they didn't get the grade they wanted etc, and a parent explaining in full detail without bashing a teacher why they are writing a complaint. I've had many teachers who were amazing, but honestly just as many teachers who never should have been around kids.

I don't think it sounds like a fabricated story at all. Teachers are NOT perfect. There ARE many bad ones out there, that should NOT be working with children.

Here is the issue, you don't think it sounds fabricated. Someone else thinks it does. Teachers on this site are guilty until proven innocent.

I was talking about the kid. If she just told the first story, then maybe. But since she went on to say how the kid told the teacher his friends tied him up and everything- I feel like something is up with the kid.
