DH always says, people should come more often so we can clean the way we do before they come Chat Icon

Normally, we'll do a general cleaning - vacuuming, general dust, bathrooms, on a weekly basis. Nothing intense. More intense cleaning happens if we're having people over. Sometimes we vacuum more than once a week because our dog sheds.

Kitchen we like to clean up everynight or morning after - dishes, quick cleaning of the granite, but nothing crazy.

While I would love to clean more, if I did more, we wouldn't have much time to ourselves. We're clean and it works for us so we're sticking to this plan :)

Re: How often do you clean

I do a full cleaning of the ground level once a week, which includes the kitchen and main bathroom.

I vacuum and swiffer wood floors at least once a week, but as needed since I have a messy toddler. I mop every other week. I dust once a week. The kitchen gets wiped down and disinfected almost daily. The bathroom I try to keep clean but I pretty much just clean that once a week or if something obvious comes up in there.

The second floor is a whole other story. We barely ever set foot up there - it's only used for overnight guests so that only gets cleaned when company is coming.

We used to have a cleaning lady come twice a month, but honestly, I'm happier with the job I do and it was more important to save that extra money right now.

Re: How often do you clean

your bathroom? (tub/shower/tiles, etc)

I deep clean both bathrooms once a week. I wipe everything down daily to keep up with the dog hair & dust collection.

your kitchen?

I clean the kitchen daily. Disinfect counters, clean stove top & sink. I clean clean - including the fridge & floors once a week

vacuum/mop?

I vacuum 2x a week and mop once. I use a dust mop every other day in between to pick up all the fur from the dogs. That stuff really collects.

I dust every few days. I just go around with the swiffer and dust everything. Woodwork, Furniture, blinds, etc. Use Pledge weekly on all wood.

I'm tired just typing all that
