Hi neighbor! I am in Parkland (the houses behind woodgate)
And we are not touched.
I doubt my DH can get home.
He is on his way home from work (he's a cop) and I am worried about him getting down our street!
oh how funny!!! wonder how many LIFer's are this close! hope your DH makes it home nice and safe!

We are on a main road... its 2 lanes but people parked on the divider because the side streets are rarely plowed, and the garbage trucks have plowed like 1 big lane...
my sister is 2 blocks away and she had a giant 5 foot snow drift in the middle of her block...

The plow has come by a few times here in Wantagh, once right after my DH shoveled our cars out.

Negative. We're on a secondary block in Ozone Park, Queens...the main avenue down the block from us has been plowed.
But, there's a car that someone ditched at some point in the middle of the night diagonally across our block...so even if they wanted to plow, they can't get through.
I cleared the windows of that car early this morning to make sure no one was like dead in there or something. Nope. Either the car gave up on the owner or the owner gave up on the car.
But, at least no one is dead.

Our entire development isn't plowed. Good thing we're both staying in again today.
same here. our truck is stuck in the parkinglot so we are totally stranded today until they plow the lot out. we are in glen oaks

I'm in Centereach and I think we are the only block NOT plowed. We can see the main road from our house and cars are flying by. My DH shoveled and tried to leave for work this morning and couldn't get out of the driveway. Plows keep passing our court and not during down it.

That was very nice of you!
A guy tried to abandon his car in front of my house, he was stuck for two hours. DH gathered up a posse and wouldnt let him leave LOL so eventually he was able to get out. He was wearing regular shoes, in a regular car and didnt even have a shovel. DH said he was sorry he wouldnt be able to make it into work and the guy said "Oh, I was just going to grab some breakfast"

Nope & probably won't be for a few days. I don't live on a main road, in fact the only people who normally drive down my street are people who live here.... so it takes FOREVER for them to decide to plow this street.

The streets are plowed by me. Even my street, a terciary road.
A smaller city plow pick up truck even helped DH to clean the opening of the driveway. It was 5 ft tall with snow after all the plow. DH told him we had a young kid and we needed the driveway opened up in case of emergency. They guy agreed because we had a young child and removed about 50% of it. That really helped DH.
Never mind that we have a snowblower with a non fixed tire for 3 years.

Our street hasn't be plowed at all. My guess is that they will get to it later after getting the main roads done. We're in Brooklyn.

I'm in Bellmore, and the plow came to my tiny cul-de-sac a couple of hours ago. They did a great job! It's amazing...I hate my sanitation workers when they take our trash, b/c they are slobs about it, but they plow beautifully!

I saw them come by last night once or twice, but I dont think they came since (unless it was really early). I'm in massapequa. It's hit or miss. They either plow really well or not all.

I live on a dead end street, so our street hasn't been plowed yet, but hopefully will be plowed by tomorrow, because I need to go back to work and hubby needs an MRI. I really hate the snow.

sometimes it pays to be a semi traveled road - completely clean the entire time. Unfort i still am shoveling out thanks to dh being in bed sick and i only have plastic shovels
