Has anyone's street been plowed yet?
Ours hasn't and it looks so bad!
There are huge drifts up by my corner.
There is no way anyone could get through that - even in a truck.
It's scaring me.
What if there was an emergency?
Plus DH is at work so I'm alone with the baby.
I know they are busy but how long would you wait before you called the town to at least inquire?
I just don't like feeling stranded like this....

Nope, not yet. We are only about a block and a half South of Montauk Highway so I am sure if it was a real emergency and with DH's truck we'd be okay.

They came down and did one pass so far and plowed me IN. I live on the corner where 2 blocks meet - it's a tiny indented culdesac with 3 houses and they just pushed all the snow into our culdesac. The snow in front of my driveway is about 10 feet high right now.

Im in hicksville, my street was plowed by 6am, at the end of my block is the hicksville water district, so we are always plowed early

That would be no. For the most part the snow appears to be as high as car tires but there are also some drifts that are well over 2 feet. This is on a side street in Bayside.

I am too and we are not.
But at least I know they are out there.
Probably didn't get to us yet.

No. The middle of the road is clear though, the drifts blew it to the end of my driveway.

Anyone else not able to get out their front door?
Thankfully I was able to open the back. But now we have to snowblow our way to the front. When I saw "we" and mean "DH"

DH said the front was blocked ... our back door opens inside so he went out that way and shoveled out the front ... he is on his own this year since i am almost 40 weeks pregant and cant help

I'm in the town of huntington and there were plows doing their thing around the clock since last night. You can even see a lot of the road. I just wish they salted instead of sanded.

we're on a corner. the street that our driveway is on hasn't been plowed since last night. the side street was plowed in the past couple of hours. but because of that, there's huge snow blockades blocking our driveway street. oh well.

Hi neighbor! I am in Parkland (the houses behind woodgate)
And we are not touched.
I doubt my DH can get home.
He is on his way home from work (he's a cop) and I am worried about him getting down our street!
