Random: Bowling while pregnant
Would you go/ have you gone bowling since you've been pregnant?
I have an annoying bowling work function tonight that I'm dreading. It's no fun without alcohol! I figured at least if I could bowl to pass the time, it'd be more tolerable.

I haven't bowled although technically you can, if you feel comfortable. We had a work function like that last week and I played pool instead.

I think a light ball should be fine. I'll just have to fine tune my usual ball-between-the-legs-stance. I think they may have pool there too, which I always love to play (I'll be the preggo making the sexy backwards leaning shot).

I haven't, but you totally can. My mother was telling me how she bowled in a league through her entire pregnancy with me...we're talking giant belly and all. I have fun picturing it.

I did a few times while pregnant..just take it easy and dont over do it and you will be fine
(actually when i was like 12 weeks i had a work function too that was bowling - couldnt drink so that sucked but ended up with the high score for a girl so i got an awesome prize..now that would have been bad if drunk people would have beat me!)

i was actually just asking DH if he thought I would be allowed to go bowling...he said no way because of all the back pains ive been having 
i really wanted to go and just have fun...havent done a whole lot lately!

My general rule of thumb was that I didn't do any type of physical activity that I wasn't doing before I got pregnant. Since I haven't bowled in years, I wouldn't have done it, I would have been afraid of straining something.

Funny you wrote that b/c my DH made me call my OB to ask (he's a wee bit neurotic). She said the same thing, but basically said that if it's a very light ball and if I don't bend over, I should be fine. I bowl about 1 or 2x per year, but I think it should be okay.

I didn't think you could, but it looks like you can! Bowl away! 
In "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" it listed a whole bunch of activities you could and could not do.
My favorite - "Consult your doctor if you plan on snow skiing"....like would you want to snow ski while pregnant? I am so unbalanced as it is, I can't imagine what I would be like on skiis!
