quick question
a girl at my job wants to give me a glider & ottoman that she was going to throw out. I definitely want to take it-i've seen pics of it...but she doesn't want any money for it.
Would you just accept it because she was going to throw it out, or would you buy her something as a thank you?

I would get her a thank you gift. Maybe a gift certificate to a local place for lunch or something similar.

Maybe buy her lunch one day or something..I know this can be a tough one..we just had someone give us dirt for our yard..they delivered it and everything..they wouldnt even take gas money. We feel terrible not giving them something BUT we are like that too..we just do things b/c we like to do things for others not b/c we want something in return...The funny thing is a picture of the glider in the nursery or you feeding the baby in it will probably be enough of a Thank you.

I think a thank you card would be sufficient. Maybe a little something like lunch if you feel uncomfortable.
