quick, cheap sept sat& sun getaway?
trying to do something for a quick weekend for DH's birthday in Sept. We have done out east, Cape May, Mystic,CT, NYC, Hershey, PA area....any suggestions? Was thinking Newport but DH wasn't as thrilled with Cape May as I thought and I have heard the 2 are similar.
We would prefer B&B over hotel but will do whatever!
2-3 hours from NYC please!

This is a great place if you want to go somewhere completely laid back. You can find hiking trails and Hudson Valley wineries in the area.

DH and I weren't overly impressed with their meal plan, but it is really nice that they stock your kitchen with everything you would need for breakfast. It's a great place to hole up for a romatic weekend. Just be warned, it looks a little sketchy when you first pull up. DH and I felt like we were driving into Dirty Dancing.
