PreK Moms -- what activities in your child in?

I am finding that my DS could benefit from more activities but I dont want to overload him either.
I was thinking of swimming or soccer. Those are 1x per week. Soccer starts in April. Any other suggestions? How many activities is your child in at one time?

Just dance one day a week. She’s in school 5 days a week from 9-2. 3 or those days she stays until 3 for enrichments (science, music and a diff dance)

My son is in full time daycare (7-4/5) and we currently do not do any activities with him. I will be signing him up for swim lessons in March.

DD Just turned owls 4, and goes 3x a week for 2.5 hours, she is in dance 1x a week, and she plays soccer year round 1x a week.

I think I should have signed her up for more this winter, but in the spring/summer/fall I don’t like to add anymore than that bc I enjoy playing outside and doing other random fun things with her.

DD is 2 and does swimming and dance. We’re considering soccer in the spring.

My DS is in pre-K and is in soccer and goes a music class, each once a week. I really wanted to put him in a theater class, but it was hard to fit it in his schedule because it’s only offered two days a week which happen to be the two days he’s already doing soccer/music.

When DD was in pre k she went 5 days a week from 8am to 5pm. (Her daycare facility also did pre k work for a few hours a day) she did dance on Saturday and a soccer activity that went to her daycare center one afternoon a week for 45 mins.Now that she’s in K we might let her try karate one night a week (she’s been asking) and she will still continue to do dance.

DS does swim and soccer. I think those are perfect activities.

My son was in pre-k full time during the week, so we limited activities to one day per week. He most enjoyed soccer, swimming and basketball.

we do not have any during the week
but as of the Spring Saturday is Soccer and Sunday is T Ball

My son does Swim and Music, each once a week. In the spring he wants to do T-Ball.

DS is in Pre-K 5 days a week from 8:30-11:30. He does MMA on Saturday mornings and swimming on Friday nights. In the spring we will take a break from MMA and he will do Tball on Saturday.

She’s in full day pre k 5 days per week, and just in ballet. She also gets pt twice weekly through cpse.

With PreK, I’d take it slow.
DD did swim in preK.
She started ballet in K.

My daughter takes ice skating lessons. She loves it. She was in ballet last year- She is in school from 9-3 and has a music, cooking and art in school- I let her choose one activity for weekends.

Swim and tumbling. We are adding karate next week and swim will end in May but we do it all July at the pool.

My dd did dance and soccer last year...this year (pre-k) she is doing dance and swim 1x each per week; she says she doesn't want to do dance or t-ball...next year she will go into the competitive dance program, which is 4 classes a week, so we will probably stick with just dance and swim and not add anything else.

DS is 4 (just turned 4 in december) he goes to preschool 3 mornings a week from 9-12:30. (I'm a SAHM). he does swim lessons once a week, and a class at The Little Gym once a week. the rest of the time we just do playdates or library story times or whatever. i don't think he's gonna be a sports kid- we think he has asthma, because he starts with a cough whenever he starts running around :-/ so might look for a music class or something else for him to try. but at 4, i think he's good with swimming and little gym and preschool.

My DS will be 5 in March, he goes to PreK every day from 12-2:30 and that's it. He's not enrolled in anything else. Next year in Kindergarten, he might try out baseball in the fall.

For DS 1- we had him enrolled in soccer, basketball and t-ball when he was in Pre-K (none of them overlapped).

For DS 2 - we had him enrolled in swimming. We enrolled him in t-ball as well but, he didn't want to participate.

DD loves activities. She prefers structured programs than sitting at home playing with toys. So when she asks to do something consistently we go with it.
She swims (summer and winter) does gymnastics (winter and spring) horseback riding (spring-fall) and recently has been asking to do theater and ice skating but won’t agree to give anything up to do them. We also schedule a play date every Tuesday after school.

both my kids do 2 actives since preschool. One does soccer and dance and the other does soccer and basketball
