Post-partum sex question...please level with me
How bad would it be to...um...not wait the full 6 weeks before DTD? 
I'll be honest...I feel great since my c-section, I'm due to have back surgery in 2 weeks and after that, we'll be off-limits for 8 weeks...
We're dying over here!!!

If I would have had a section I probably wouldn't have waited.
I waited until I got the doctors ok...I way so scared of doing any permanent damage after what I went through

Yeah. I didn't wait 6 weeks. I think we waited 3 (maybe?)
I was on pelvic rest from 20 weeks on, we were dying

I think we waited only 4 or 5 weeks after my section....it was ok for us....I think as long as you feel well go for it....or maybe call your Dr. in the morning and just double check.

we waited and even long after we got the ok, it still was not "comfortable" If you are BFing, you tend to be dry, so if I was you....invest in some his & hers lub.

We didn't wait long at all after my C-section - maybe 3 weeks, maybe even less The doctor just told me, no missionary - she didn't want DH leaning on my stiches, so she said just try other positions i we were comfortable with that.

After my first baby we waited 3 months (I had an epistomy) and it really hurt.
After my second baby I didn't tear or get cut and we only waited 11 days and it didn't hurt at all!

I had a scheduled c/s and was given the all clear at my 4 week appt.
Afterall nothing was affected down there so go for it.

Personally, I would call the doctor. The last thing you need is to have any additional problems when you are having back surgery soo soon.

I had a vaginal birth and only waited 3.5 weeks. When I was leaving the hospital, I asked the doctor who discharged me what the real rules were. He said that there is no medical reason to avoid sex after 2 weeks. He said it was a comfort issue and that before 4 weeks it probably wouldn't be comfortable, but that most women are comfortable by 6 weeks. It was a little uncomfortable in some positions at first at 3.5 weeks, but it was still great :)
