POLL: Snow Day Tomorrow?
What do ya think??? I'm hearing this "big storm" will be nothing but rain. What are our chances for a snow day???

They alway's say we are getting a 'Big Storm' But i dont think we are going to get a thing, I would Love a snow day, but unfortunely we wont. like i said I will believe it when i see it..... but seriously we wont, its to good to be true this weather has been to warm for anything BUT rain.

I dont think anyone knows WHAT is going to happen. They are saying the icing is supposed to be horrid... so that might at least cause a delayed opening?
I wish the weather people would get things staright!

The district I work in never gets a snow day. It's in a weird pocket on the south shore that gets no accumulation whereas districts surrounding it will.
The district where I live always gets a lot more snow.
So glad I'm not white-knuckling it through my neighborhood to get to work. It was no fun last year.

Don't want to get hopes up, but there are a few...very few...closings on news12.com. Anything is possible. The ice may cause some delays at least. The repost I heard said it wasn't supposed to change to rain until the afternoon. Who knows!

Actually it looks like, based on accuweather.com, that it may be more of an ice storm...
Will still make the roads treacherous.
Then it will turn back into snow (2-4 inches). So snow covering ice...
I'm still thinking it's possible for some schools to close

I live in Northern Va, and the weather has been horrible. It started out as snow this morning and then it changed over to sleet/freezing rain which is suppose to last until 11 am tomorrow, there is about a quarter inch of ice over everything. We had a 2 hour early closing today, and I am hoping for a closing tomorrow. If the weather in NY is anything like it is here you will have a snow day, the roads are terrible with the ice.
