if your DC had reflux, were you formula feeding or breastfeeding?

Re: POLL - reflux babies
I was EBF(pumping) and he had reflux which we eventually found out was due to milk allergy which he still has now(9 months) Then I tried nutramigen, alimnetum etc and still a probelm. He has been on Nutramigen AA(amino acid formula) since 12 weeks and doing great now

Basically same story... EBF. Savannah was miserable, found out it was milk allergy, tried alimentum, slightly less miserable, on to elecare, different baby. The dr. thinks that the undiagnosed allergy for 6 weeks or so, brought on the reflux basically.

Basically the same here but for my son it was only an intolerance that he has grown out of it seems. We've done yogurt and foods made with milk and he's fine. I am too afraid to switch formula though. I think I'll just wait until it's time to try milk.

Jacob had bad reflux and he was formula fed. We switched his formula several times as well as gave him Zantac.

Re: POLL - reflux babies
DS was BF, still is. His reflux was not due to a milk allergy, he was tested. His gastroenteroligist prescribed Prevacid which is what worked and always told me that as long as he wasn't allergic, breastmilk was best for gastro issues and reflux since it's the most broken down already so it's easiest for their bellies to process and also it leaves their system faster than formula. So as long as he never developed an allergy it was better for me to BF him for as long as possible.

Us to. DD was EBF for 4 weeks until i wasn't producing enough milk and she was failing to thrive. Then we had to start with formula and then came the reflux. I was BF and FF and now at 3 monhts exclusivily FF with Similac Sensitive R.S. It seems to work the best for us.
