Pls. tell me I'm overreacting...purpleish/blue spot on leg
DH still has a mild fever around 101. Showing NO other symptoms of anything. I just took him out of the tub and saw what looks like a bruise, kind or a purple spot on his leg. I know he doesnt have meningitis b/c he has NO other symptons, but I know a purple spot can be a sign of a blood infection or something else. I called my ped. and am waiting for him to call me back. I dont want to run to the hopsital and look like an idiot. I am home by myself. I called DH and my mom and they said wait for the dr. to call back. I just dont know what to do. It could totally be just a bruise....but I never noticed it before.

You did the right thing by calling your ped. Don't panic, just wait till he calls and see what he has to say.

It really sounds like a bruise. My kid is covered with them..he falls and falls and is banging into things constantly. Happens all the time! I would not worry!!

It really sounds like a bruise. My kid is covered with them..he falls and falls and is banging into things constantly. Happens all the time! I would not worry!!
i have to agree. its probably a black and blue. i wouldnt worry at all.

It wasn't ther beofre the bath...it just popped up.

For some reason when I bathe Johnny rashes/bruises are more noticeable. Maybe it has to do with the warm water bringing them out...
I'm not going to tell you you're crazy b/c we all go through worry over things we aren't sure of, but honestly....if he is acting fine I would not worry! How old is he??

Ok...I am overreacting. The ped. just called and said it is probably just a bruise. IF it looks like a pimple or if mre spots pop up in the area than it could be something. He said hat if he had a blood infection or a serious infection he would be deathly sick right now...not eating, running around, etc. I am going to see him at 2.
OMG, I feel like such a hypochondriac. I am so layed back about myself and everything else but with DS I automatically thing the worst and start looking up **** on the internet

Try not to get worked up! It's hard not to, but he really sounds ok!
