Please say a prayer for my sisters cat....Update 1 in bold text... I will keep you all updated as I get news...
I never ask for prayers, but poor little "kiki" is sick and in the cat hospital....
The poor thing is 4 yrs old and an indoor cat. The other day my sister noticed little bits of couch in her kitty litter. The next day she was lethargic. She went to the vet and they said they would give her fluids and check it out. She was okay and went home. yesterday she was okay. She was playing with the TMX Elmo we gave my niece- it was cute... anyway, fast forward to today, the cat is lathargic, my sister takes her in they had to sedate her to take an x ray and her intestines were swollen . They gave her pepcid, and IV fluids and some other medication. She is doing better- her blood work came back okay so that is a good sign, but if they are still swollen in the morning they are going to have to do exploratory surgery in her to see if there is anything in her tummy. This is my sisters "baby", she has had her since she was able to fit into my sisters hand.......
UPDATE 1.... Kiki is not hissing or growling anymore when the vet tech goes near her, and she did get sleep, and seems to be doing better, the vets are making there rounds and I will let you all know if she needs exploratory surgery. I hope it passed and she is coming home tonite. We all did not sleep too well last night- I know it is an animal, but she is a part of the family. Thank you for the prayers, please keep them coming- I will keep you all posted as I get any information.

Awww, i can totally relate!! I hope her cat gets better fast! Make sure she brings her to the vet immediately if the cats not feeling better. The vet said the sooner you catch these things the better the scenario.
My cat had the same thing and ate a string. It got stuck in her intestines...and they did emergency surgery to remove it. 4K later...my baby is perfect.

Your poor sister....I am sure this must be so hard for her. I pray that her cat is okay!!
