Please help, my cat is peeing on soft surfaces!!!!!
She pees on any clothes on the floor, my dining room cushions, she pooped on the floor in the living room, she is an indoor cat, has a kitty liter, is 2 years old, but the more she pees, the more I am disliking her Do you think it is out of spite or a medical issue? TIA

I would make sure that the litter box it completely clean all the time (my old cat didn't care if you cleaned it every other day, but the cat I have now is VERY particular, I have to scoop it out at least once a day, somtimes twice.... if I forget, she'll poop outside the box) and if she is still doing it I would take her to the vet, maybe she has a UTI or a bladder infection.

I slacked off this week on the litter box
I got poop in my shower
and pee on my flip flops, purse, and upholstered bench
he never acted like this until we had a 3rd cat staying with us- but I guess he learned this got him what he wanted- (the 3rd cat is gone)

Could be a dirty protest!!! My cat does this to show me how she doesn't like the litter box. I changed litter and she stopped doing it.

I would honestly take her to the vet, it may be an infection, or it could be a behavioural problem, but take her to the vet just to be sure

we will take her to the vet but I think it is a behavioral issue since las night she pooped on the blow up mattess that the kids fell asleep on earlier in the night. How do we address a behavioral issue with a cat

This definitely sounds behavioral. Has there been a big change in the house recently? Is the cat left alone a lot?
My sister had a cat that would poop on their bed if they were gone for a few days. Otherwise, she was fine.

Ours did that recently because we received free litter from a friend and she did not like it at all. I changed it right away to our reg brand and been fine ever since. Also changes in the household can cause issues in behavior. I would ask your vet and get your kitty checked out just in case.
