Picky Eater

Hi all!

My 18 month old DS is a super picky eater--we're talking dino nuggets, fruit, cheese sticks, pizza, pouches and plain carbs (pasta, bread, pancakes) and thats it. I have introduced all different types of foods including veggies from a very young age and even then he would spit out anything green Chat Icon

My questions is--anyone with a similar experience? and what did you do to get your child to start eating different types of food? It doesn't need to be anything crazy but would love to give him whatever DH and my two DD's eat, but sadly, everything ends up on the floor. HELP!

DD doesn't really eat anything green either, though she's a little less picky than this. I sneak it in- Kraft cauliflower mac & cheese, finely chopped veggies in pasta sauce, ravioli with spinach. I use wholewheat choices whenever I can- crackers, pasta, brown rice.

Also, those pouches are great- they have so many with hidden veggies in them.

Re: Picky Eater

My DD is 9 and still eats like that.
She has no interest in trying anything else.
She's still alive and very healthy- never sick- like NEVER sick.
So it is what it is.
For what it's worth- I RARELY eat a vege. They honestly make me gag- and I'm still alive and kicking at 45- with no health issues at all.

Same. I eat a salad and corn or potatoes which don't even count as a veggie in my book. I'm 34 and surprisingly healthy. I've birthed and nursed two kids and they're healthy. Chat Icon Maybe it's all a conspiracy by those fat cat corporate vegetable farms. Chat Icon

LOL! I truly think vegetables are overrated and over played.
The amount of nutrients you are getting in the small amount you eat isn't doing anything. You'd have to be choking down cups and cups of kale and shit every day to get the nutrients in a vitamin pill.
Pop a freakin Centrum and be done with it!
