Party- Saturday or Sunday?
Which do you prefer? I feel like most parties we get invited to are on Sunday.
The party will be in the morning in early December if that makes a difference.
ETA it’s a third birthday party.

Re: Party- Saturday or Sunday?
I prefer Saturday parties because I rather not have anything the day before a school / work day. The reason why my sons party is scheduled at 7:30pm this year lol.
However, if we are talking about a kids party - which is like max 2-3 hours, it's not a big deal for it to be on a Sunday.

Party- Saturday or Sunday?
Well the place is booked Saturday AND Sunday the weekend of her birthday. Seriously, how far in advance are you people booking your parties???
Any suggestions for a third birthday party? No bounce house, gymnastics type stuff.

Wow... I just booked my son bday and it’s next month on the 20th lol. I swear LI is on a whole other plant. What type of place were you booking?
Ice or roller skating, laser tag, bowling, arcade/game play, movies, California pizza, cupcake /pastry making place, glam party, children’s museum.

I like the idea of cupcake making but not sure if the kids will sit still. She'll be 3. She's pretty calm and focused but judging by the other kids in her class I'm not sure she's the norm. Same with pizza, ceramics, etc. Not sure they'd sit for a movie, either.
I can't believe so many places are booked!

Oh yea that’s a tough age, it’s hit or miss. They can either be really calm or maniacs lol. Is there a museum? My sister did Children’s museum for both girls around that age and one my friends did it at a butterfly museum. Kids loved it.
Maybe because it’s December and other events are going on?

Party- Saturday or Sunday?
Does she like to dance? We did a party for my daughter at a local dance place and it was really cute. It was all girls though so not sure if you plan to have boys also.

I thought of that. Her dance school has them but we have significantly more boys than girls- she is the only girl in the family and her class is more boys than girls.
I can’t wait until she’s old enough for a spa party and I have an excuse to not invite the boys!
We have a lot of kids so wee running into the issue of it being a fortune no matter where we have it.

We went to a party at Krafty Hands. They do build a bear, and painting. There were kids of all ages sitting and painting. They really only give them so much time to paint. Then they are off doing games, dancing, pinata, pizza and cake.

Re: Party- Saturday or Sunday?
I’m so glad you posted this question - I was also debating Saturday vs. Sunday. For us, an early party is out due to dh’s work schedule. We figured a party that gives the pizza relatively near a mealtime (as opposed to, say, 3pm) is a better alternative. 12:30 seemed too middle of the day, and the eating then isn’t until 1:15 and I was worried if kids would get hangry. So that leaves us with the 4:30 party start time (5:15 food) and we are choosing the Saturday because I don’t want to come home on a Sunday at 6 with her to open presents and wind down. It was process of elimination. Dd is turning 6.

Saturday.
I'm not religious, but I've heard several moms say they had to turn down parties because of church/Sunday school.
And sports can be on both days, but in my district, most sports games are on Sundays.

This is where I'm looking, too. Did you do the plaster craft or stuff a teddy? I'm guess it is was good if you're going back?!
