Party Favors for 1st birthday...
Yes I have been brainstorming DS's 1st Birthday party even though he is only 5 months old.
Anyways when it comes to party favors for kids, do you give to the little kids only? Cuz DH has nieces and nephews of all ages but 3 of them will be ages 12, 12 1/2 and 14. They don't need party favors right? I can always explain it to their parents beforehand but do kids that age need to get a kiddie bag at a 1 year old party?

No, they don't need to get favors. They probably feel too "grown up" for favors and might appreciate that you see them this way. Especially the 14yo!

When i had Jakes 1'st b-day party i made chocolate bars with a cover that said Jakes 1st b-day. That was given to everyone that came. THen I made separate goody bags for the little kids.

I wouldn't give them toys but maybe you can give them some candy or chocolate bar like dee7772 did.

I would only give to the little kids... then again, if there are only 3 older kids, maybe you could just give them a little something, like chocolate covered pretzels or something like that...

Thanks ladies. I think I may just do something like that. Like give them a little something. These 3 older kids are DH's Nephews and niece.

We gave personalized mini piggy banks to the kids, and everyone got a little box of personalized M&Ms. You could just include the older kids in the same favors as the adults (if you give the adults favors).

My friend did this...it was really cute. We got a baseball piggy bank with DS's name on it. I don't remember what she did for the girls, but I thought it was a really cute idea.
