Parents eating peanut butter?
Silly question... I know peanut is a high allergan and children should not eat it until they are much older... but is it safe for ME to have peanutbutter around the baby? I am planning to ask the ped next week but thought I'd ask here in the meantime... TiA!

I always eat pb&j around her and my other kids but I made sure I didnt kiss her after and I washed my hands

If we ate anything with peanuts, we made sure that we washed our hands and brushed our teeth before kissing him.

We have always eaten pb&j and started DS on it at 16 months. We're a big fan of Uncrustables in this house!

I ate peanut butter throughout my pregnancies, while BF and like every other day since!
The only thing I've ever heard from my doctor is to hold off on feeding it to DDs until age 2.

I ate it during my pg - until a nutritionist told me that the shells were carcinogenic  
I eat PB occasionally while bf'ing - but I usually opt for sunflowerseed butter... which is what the nutritionist recommended.
Im pretty sure my mom ate it with all 3 of us and we were fine.

Since he was a baby I have always eaten PB around DS (I have tried giving it to him, started around 18 mos old, but he's not a fan)

HUGE PB&J family here. My boys eat it just about every day for lunch. My oldest got his first taste around 18 months, #2 accidentally got a taste around 9 months (DS #1 decided to "share"). DD as had a few tastes here and there as well.
