Pain after peeing?

Sometimes (usually in the middle of the night when I get up to use the bathroom), I have pain after I pee. It will almost feel like I can't stand straight up after getting off the toilet. It only lasts for about a minute and then I am fine. Has anyoe experienced this? I am 13 weeks.

Re: Pain after peeing?

Yup. I would agree witht the above poster and say it could be a UTI.

Starts of a little pain and can get worse. I would maybe go to doc and get urine checked out.

Re: Pain after peeing?

Those were the symptoms I had that made me think I had a UTI- plus I had difficulty passing urine. However, my urine analysis came back CLEAN, and the pain got worse even with the antibiotics (UTI should be almost immediatlely relieved once you start taking meds).

I wound up having some nasty fibroids that were degenerative (as they "die off" they create some pretty intense pain).

I'm fine now, and the baby is fine too. DEFINITELY mention this to your doctor though. If it your urine analysis comes back clean and it continues, or gets worse- push for a sonogram to rule out degenerative fibroids.

I don't want to be a downer, but I wish I had known that something like what I went through was a possibility. Even though my analysis came back clean, no other diagnostic tests were done and I was sent home with antibiotics. I wound up having to spend an upsetting night in the ER.
