LOVE Verizon Fios..
never a problem.. and the channels are just excellent!
they added a bunch more recently!
can get confusing cause the lineup is all different but you get used to it!
and they bunch it up in categories which is great!

Was with Verizon for less than a month..had nothing but problems...and the customer service was terrible...am back to optimum and very happy!

We have cablevision. I can't tell you how many people Ive spoken to and they told me they switched back to cablevision

We are swithching to Verizon Fios.
We have been losing signals a lot lately. Of course, that won't be refunded in any way.
I refuse to deal with their customer service due to a nightmare with them trying to set up cable in my apt before DH and I were together.
WORST customer service I have ever encounter!!!!!

FIOS is awful, plus it's an electrical hazard, there's an article that was just in Newsday last week all about it. Cable is # 1 
DH does sales for cablevision and all he sells to are unhappy FIOS customers

I am glad you have a great experience with Cablevision.
We have had the worst experience and we are switching to Verizon.
When I asked around (here and with some friends), there are people who are VERY happy with Verizon.
ETA: Cablevision owns Newsday!!!

is it true with Optimum cable you can split the wire and run it to other tv's.
I heard you will get the basic channels and no premiums but you wouldn't need a box.
Here in queens with Time Warner (a monopoly in queens) you have to have a box on any tv's you want cable or basic channels on.
Splitting the wire wont work, so for basic channels I either need to rent the box and pay a fee, or try a regular antenna for that TV.
