I feel your pain. Many times I've sat in the dugout on my cell calling anyone and everyone just to put a body on the field so we wouldn't have to forfeit. That's why I don't do it anymore; we could never get enough people that were really committed.

It's so funny because we play co-ed beach volleyball too - and we ALWAYS have enough players for that. I think it's because there's beer involved.

I think this is going to be my last year as well.

Thanks for the luck - it stinks to forfeit - I mean - we all paid around $165 per person - who has that kind of money to piss away? Oh wait, apparently my teammates.

I hear ya! I manage a mens softball team. And it seems like every week we need to find someone. Good luck finding someone! In the future softballnut.com is a Long island softball forum I have found guys to fill in on there from time to time. I know there are a couple of Females on there as well.
