OLAS QUESTION
Im new to the OLAS thing 
Is there a way to know which jobs are "new" or most current.
there doesnt seem to be any order to the listings.

I don't think there is.
Honestly, I never heard back from any of the jobs listed on OLAS. I had much better luck with the NY Times.

yes, it's Sundays. if you get the hard copy, it is in the "Week in Review" section. you can also access it on line under nytimes.com... click on jobs. what's good about the online version is you can do searches for districts and search in past issues, not just the current ones. i found my job in the NY times too. it was posted ONCE in late february. i interviewed in May and had the job two weeks later.

Also, Dowling has a list they update every week with all the job postings as well... i found that to be extremely helpful when i was job hunting!
i also never had any call backs from OLAS
