I jsut went to new mode on thursday and my hair is pin straight.
It's about the same price as my old place in the city, but much much closer to my house.
My place in the city is a salon and they are constantly doing JHS while new mode is a mom and pop shop.

I just went to Hair Club IB (yesterday actually). My hair came out awesome and so did my sisters. The best part about it is it is only $130-150 (Mine was $140, if you want a haircut that is $20 more)!  This was $90 cheaper than Top Point for me. And from what I read on here you can expect to pay about $250 at New Mode too.
I was considering New Mode also because of the shorter distance, but I had such a great experience at Hair Club IB that I am def. going back there from now on. There is free parking in a garage too.
