Official MICKEY and MINNIE BIRTHDAY PARTY THREAD!
I'm planning my son's Mickey Birthday Party and, since it's so common and such a cute theme, I thought we can start a somewhat "official" thread where we can all share ideas and post pictures to inspire cute ideas.
If you've had a party or are planning one, share your ideas and pictures here!

I am having a Beach Barbecue Mickey's First Birthday party. We're doing Hot Diggity Dogs, Burgers and Chicken and salads at a park/beach pavilion.
Mickey is coming to do a meet and greet and carry out Anthony's smash cake (the bigger cake will be out on the dessert table). We hired Small World Entertainment. They had the best Mickey I've seen and I like the way they do business, so far.
I'm booking Lady J's Cakes to do my cake... she ROCKS! I've ordered two cakes from her so far and they always look and TASTE fantastic! This is what it will look like:
I'm looking at invitations like these:
I want to get the Edible Arrangements Fruit Display to put on the dessert table.
And I want to make Mickey shaped Rice Krispie Treats - possibly with the ears dipped in chocolate.
I'm considering making Mickey ear shaped cookies and age cookies, like these. Does anyone know how to get them so professional looking? Aside from hiring a professional?

Small World Entertainment is also doing Snowcones in case it's a hot day.
Each table will have a beach pail of chips and stuff.
During the party, I'd love to have Mickey ears for all the kids.
I'm thinking that the dessert cookies and rice krispie treats would be wrapped as favors. But, in addition, I'd love to do a beach pail favor kit for the kids filled with Mickey bubbles, crayons, water bottles, coloring books, etc. And MAYBE a frame to put the picture of the little guest with Mickey.
So, all these ideas and I feel like time is ZOOMING by and I have no time to do anyhing. lol.

I am doing almost the same thing for my DS's 1st! I am obsessed too! I will be doing the same favor I think with pails and that stuff in them. Here is my invite I made. (Of course I changed info for privacy).
Have you seen this from Hostess with the Mostess. Awesome!

LOVE this thread. DS loves Mickey (already at 6 months  ) so we will most likely be doing a Mickey party as well!!

I also did the Mickey Mouse theme for my DS's 1st Birthday Party. I will do the same for #2 and if its a little girl I am going with the Minnie Mouse theme. I just love the theme! I had these adorable, custom-made invitations made with DS's face on the Mickey Mouse's body. There's just so much to choose from for favors, activities and decorations. I will try to find pics to contribute to this thread.

These are ALL such adorable ideas!!! I did a Minnie Mouse theme for my DD when she turned 2!!.........I wish I was planning one again because I LOVE some of the ideas on here!! Can't wait to see the pics of how the parties turned out!!

I just had a baby Mickey themed birthday for DS. This is all the "Mickey" stuff I had...
-I got all the supplies at Party City,
ordered invites from a etsy vendor.
-The food was catered but I bought Mickey shaped chicken nuggets at Costco for the kiddos
-my mom made a Mickey cake, and I made cupcakes and made little Mickey heads out of Oreos (regular oreo for face, mini oreos for ears).
-I printed out Mickey coloring pages for the kids and put a few on each table.
-My sister made Mickey chocolate pops
I did pin a ton of stuff on Pinterest, but I didnt even do half of them lol. Kinda ran outta time.

LOVE the cake... so cute! Good luck! I give you a TON of credit!!! I had a fleeting thought of making the cake myself, but then I remembered I don't even have time to make my BED, so that was out the window.

I think we are going with Mickey and Minnie for the twins #2 birthday this summer. I am thinking about buying an adult mickey costume. Check out pinterest for ideas. I was going to do the same as a previous poster... hot dogs and burgers. I saw easy to DIY centerpieces on pinterest, made with styrofoam balls spray painted black. will post the picture below. (leave bow off for mickey)

Nice cake love it. I'm doing doing fondant. It will be some sort of icing I'm not that good. Haha. I still have to figure it out. I like baking and crafting so hopefully I can do it. Haha

I'm looking for ideas for DD 2nd B-day. I'm doing red & white polka dot Minnie Mouse theme.
I'm looking for cake ideas, cause I thought to make an ice cream cake, since it's Summer & either mouse ear cupcakes or ear shapped krispie treats.
