Just had my 24 week appt... things are looking great! Heard the heartbeat again Chat Icon and have to do the GD screening by Feb 8. Not looking forward to that! I am plus-sized and I have only gained 3 lbs so far. I am feeling her kick too, it is such a cool feeling.

How are all the other mommies doing?

How are all my May mommy buddies doing? We haven't updated in a while! Anyone find out genders that I missed?
I'm a little over 26 weeks now and feeling great. A few more aches and pains now that I'm getting bigger, but that's to be expected. I have a lot more energy and this baby is SO active! LOVE feeling/seeing movements constantly throughout the day Chat Icon. We have a LOT of work ahead of us as far as getting bedrooms ready. We are planning to move our younger son to a big boy room and move the baby into the nursery. So we have to totally redo the room my son is moving into. So hard to find the time! How is everyone else doing/feeling?

Thought I would bump our month. How is everyone feeling? We just started working on the nursery and tomorrow I go for the glucose test(not looking fwd to it at all) I am loving all the snow days b/c it forces me to take it easy. Been feeling my baby girl so much which I absolutely love!! Time seems to be going really fast, starting to feel kinda nervous too =)

We closed on our new house 2 weeks ago. The snow has made it a miserable experience! We have to spackle the TONS of holes in the walls, paint, then rip up the rugs in all of the bedrooms and clean the house. The old owner told us she hadn't vacuumed in MONTHS!! And I totally believe her. It's SO dirty. We had to wash the walls.

Then we have to move from each apartment and renovate my apartment to sell... May 3 is coming FAST!!!

On a good note, I feel her kicking a lot more regularly... it's the only fun part of pregnancy! My tailbone is killing me but hopefully a prenatal massage will help! I've got to schedule one for this week!

Try going on ur hands and knees for a bit to get the baby off your tailbone, it gives relief even for a little bit. Heating pad works wonders too. Congrats on the house, try not to let all the work get to you--somehow it all gets done!:)

Ooh, I'm going to try that. I can barely get in and out of my car, it hurts so much to move my legs that way!!

Anyone else getting up every 1.5 - 2 hours to pee at night?

Oh, just did the glucose test. I failed the 1 hour with a 143 and passed the 3 hour! Ended up being 4.5 hours because the lab was SO BACKED UP and one lady was a temp... she was so terribly slow! They didn't take me for over an hour, even with an appointment! Maybe it helped my numbers! LOL. The first drink tasted like flat orange soda. The 3 hour drink is 100mg instead of 50, and that was like flat orange soda concentrate... it wasn't terrible, the CAT scan contrast stuff I had to drink for a surgery last summer was much worse, but I definitely wouldn't order it myself!

Hello May mommies!! It's been a crazy month for me. We've been out of our house for the past month (we had a rat infestation). Luckily, we cleaned this weekend (well my mom and ILs were nice enough to clean so I wouldn't be around the chemicals) and moving back in today. My DH has been working every day 12 hour shifts b/c of the snow. So me and my DS have been staying with my parents.

I'm almost 26 weeks and feeling pretty good. Starting to get a little bigger and starting to wear some maternity clothes. I had my glucose test 2 weeks ago and passed. Lots of movement going on.

This time around is going much quicker!

Thanks! I can't wait for it to be done. It will be the first house I have ever lived in. I'm from queens originally, where we had a row house. I've only lived in town houses or condos my whole life!

What do you think of the bayside lab? I went there once this pregnancy and switched to the lake success lab. The person who drew my blood was terrible. I'm stuck taking the 2 hour - can't wait to get out of here!

I just got back from the glucose test. It wasn't that terrible I just hope I pass! I also have the worst heart burn from it right now, hopefully it goes away. I actually LOVE this lab. They have amazing hours and the girl who always takes my blood is great! I had issues in the past with fainting from blood being drawn and somehow she gets it fast every time!

I have started to call people but am getting annoyed. I don't need anyone until September, but the places are telling me to call back in July/August and honestly I am just not comfortable with that! Too close to comfort. Plus, the cost of daycare has significantly went up since my first was in daycare. I can't see having to pay 1500 for 1 month of daycare. That is ridiculous!

I agree, when I called a few months ago the cost was 1250 a month, now it is almost 1300. It is scary what day care costs! I had the opposite problem tho, I want day care for Sept- and they told me I needed to get onto the wait list NOW (This is for preschool of america)

My bro used to push in special Ed teacher there and loved it but said it cost so much. He sends my nephew to a family daycare in the area. If you want I could get you the info. My nephew has been going for a year since she opened and he only pays 180 a week (it may have gone up since my nephew was one of the first kids)!!!! I wish my son could go there because that is cheaper than I paid 5 years ago but I live in Nassau not queens.

I also have 10 weeks left! So crazy!!!

I was sick for 2 months on and off, it was horrible. I am praying no more sicknesses this pregnancy! Chat Icon I hope you feel better soon.

I still have a lot to do but I am getting so excited now!!! I feel like these last weeks are going to go by so fast.

I can't believe how quickly May is approaching!!! I just hit the 29 week mark yesterday. My belly is getting bigger, my belly button is disappearing and I'm wearing more maternity clothes.

How's everyone feeling? My back has been killing me, but other than that, no complaints.
